hunter escape

Wake up little fox, don’t come out and play
The hunter is outside waiting for you to stray
Escape, escape in the smartest of ways
Lest you be caught in a persistent hunters gaze

Go out the back and sneak far, far away
Be wary, for he will follow and find you astray
Escape, escape in the smartest of ways
Lest you be caught in a persistent hunters gaze

Hide underneath and behind the fog and haze
Or your life will end in a fiery blaze
Escape, escape in the smartest of ways
Lest you be caught in a persistent hunters gaze

Be silent and be smart today of all days
Warn and protect the forest in which you stay
Escape, escape in the smartest of ways
Lest you be caught in a persistent hunters gaze

Lead him to a place very far away
Retrace your path and feel safe once again
Escape, escape in the smartest of ways
Lest you be caught in a persistent hunters gaze

A frustrated hunter will give up by days end
But return in the morning and you’ll trick him again
Escape, escape in the smartest of ways
Lest you be caught in a persistent hunters gaze
